Druzy Quartz Statement Ring
A rare beauty of a druzy quartz cabochon stone, set in .925 sterling silver.
Care must be taken with regard to the druzy stone. Avoid knocking or banging it repeatedly as it may break. Also avoid immersing the gem into harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners. To clean it, simply wipe it clean with a very soft dry cloth.
Druzy Quartz (also known as Drusy or Druse) is a thin layer of quartz crystals covering the surface of a host stone. The term "Druzy" refers to the tiny crystals which are formed on another stone. When the ground water that carries dissolved silica is forced to get filled into a porous area of rock, rapid cooling occurs and it causes the formation of minute crystals. The druzy quartz gems grow slowly over millions of years. It does not always refer to quartz, druzy is any kind of mineral found in a plate-like form.
Druzy has many metaphysical properties, most of which are directly related to the gem material with which it is attached. Overall, the stone purifies and amplifies the body's natural healing properties and strengthens the spirit. Druzy can also be emotionally uplifting, open blocked energy, and assist its wearer in finding her own inner light.
